Shark Point (Hin Musang) is a series of seven rocky marine pinnacles off the coast of Phuket. This legendary site was awarded Marine Sanctuary status in 1991, a testament to its exceptional ecological richness.
As its name suggests, Shark Point is famous for shark encounters. You can dive alongside leopard sharks (zebra sharks) resting peacefully on the sand and reef sharks, while exploring fascinating coral formations covered in purple and pink soft corals.
The pinnacles are carpeted with anemones, gorgonians and sea fans. Schools of fish abound: barracudas, snappers, glassfish and trevallies swirl around the rocky columns in a never-ending show.
Diving conditions are excellent: visibility is generally clear and water temperatures are pleasant all year round. An absolute must on any Phuket diving holiday.
