Racha Noi is the more remote of the two Racha islands, but also a very popular dive site among experienced divers. The depths are greater and the currents stronger than around its big sister Racha Yai, located further north.
There you will encounter huge granite boulders that create a spectacular underwater landscape — and attract manta rays and whale sharks, drawn by the nutrient-rich currents at the island's southern tip.
Dives at Racha Noi take you exploring colourful coral reefs, fascinating canyons and diverse marine life: schools of tropical fish, majestic manta rays and sometimes a leopard shark resting on the sand.
Because of the depths and currents, Racha Noi is recommended for certified divers with some experience. It is the seasoned diver's reward: some of the finest pelagic encounters in the Phuket region.
