Koh Doc Mai is a small limestone island located a short boat ride from Phuket. Its name means "Flower Island" in Thai — but its real flowers lie beneath the surface, where its vertical walls explode with colour.
Dives at Koh Doc Mai take you along a vertical wall dropping to 30 metres, through rocky crevices carpeted with soft and hard corals, yellow cup corals and multicoloured sponges.
It is a macro-life paradise: seahorses, nudibranchs, shrimps, frogfish and cuttlefish hide in the cracks of the wall. Underwater photographers find an exceptional playground here.
Koh Doc Mai generally offers excellent visibility and pleasant temperatures all year round. The dry season, from November to April, guarantees optimal conditions to explore every corner of this fascinating wall.
